All things must come to an end…including pregnancy. Baby Flint was born shortly before the most recent patrol and doing well.
I haven’t done a lot of maternity work but the Stephens clan and I decided to head out to Ft. Clinch and give it a go. After battling through giant burrs in Tim’s feet and spiders that looked at Morgan the wrong way, we got some work done and headed back to the house. All together it was a fun day….enjoy.
So once again I was able to shoot a great model with some awesome RepIt gear. Had a lot of fun walking around downtown and exploring different shops and locations that Arch showed me. I’ll be shooting some more with this model after the next underway.
So as I’ve said, I’m always looking for new work and I’ll take it just about anywhere. It’s a real pleasure when I get to work with people that I’ve known from a prior area and time of life. I met Darrick King during my time in Victoria, Texas. I actually used him as a test model for marketing and a new branding to my photo work while I was there. He has since moved to Austin and started his own clothing line. We got in touch and I offered to do some product shots for him with some models here in Georgia. I figured I’d share a few of them here. If you like the designs and want to pick up a few tees head over to his site at www.repitclothing.com
It is quite intriguing how the parts of a single continent can not only look so different, but feel separate. Minnesota has a slow way of doing things. Time is not only longer, but isn’t as important. The feeling of “It can be done tomorrow” is a very real mindset. Morning chores, afternoon feedings, and locking down the farm for the night is a lifestyle that I could get used to….but that will have to wait. For the time being, I’ll just look at the photos.
One thing that I’ve never been big on is vacations. They’re usually awkward…trying to forget that you’ll eventually have to return to the grind. Like the inevitable contact with the ground at the end of a momentary lapse in spatial cognizance. But, just like one’s day to day, we ignore the unavoidable for the pleasure of the moment. These are some photos of our family doing just that.
Like most children, mine is obsessed with all the superheroes….and some villains…
So I’ve been looking for a reason to do some minor design stuff. My son’s room is next on the list of rooms to get finished and where we want it. I took the weekend and did a quick poster for him. I’ll probably put it on a canvas wrap to hang and post some photos when it’s done.
In an attempt to stay creative and to share the happenings of our family, J. Taylor Media is back! Since my last online presence I have joined the USN Submarine Force and currently serving on the USS Alaska (B). I’ll be in Georgia until at least 2018 where I’ll be working on my Naval career, pursuing a degree in graphic design, and building a client base in photography.
Please take the time to look around the site and come back periodically to watch it grow! Thanks for stopping by!
